Two brothers who returned home to Djúpivogur to build something of their own: first campsite and cottages then a restaurant in a converted barn they call Hlaðan. They’re growing slowly by choice, focusing on local and authentic experience. The cooking stays deliberately simple — lamb from a cousin in Berufjörður, fish from the local boats, soup from mushrooms they forage themselves.
