HandPicked Iceland is a curated guide – not a travel agency. We share our favourite local, authentic places in Iceland on our website and app, but all bookings and experiences are between you and the businesses, not us.
We do our best to keep information accurate, but things can change, so please always double-check details directly with each place. By using the HandPicked Guide, you agree to use it at your own risk and to our full Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. Advertising & Partner Disclosure
Most businesses featured in the HandPicked Guide pay a fee to be included or to receive enhanced visibility. We only feature places that meet our criteria of being local, authentic and (where possible) eco-conscious, whether they are paying partners or not.
We may publish sponsored content or collaborate with third parties. In such cases, this will be mentioned in or near the content.
We don´t charge HandPicked partners any fees when a user clicks a link or books a service through our Service.
2. Responsibility of Website and App Visitors
We work hard to keep information up to date and accurate, but HandPicked can not guarantee accuracy when it comes to text, photos, maps, external websites, and third-party services, linked to or mentioned via the Service.
You are responsible for taking any precautions needed to protect yourself and your devices from viruses, malware or other harmful content.
The Service may contain:
- content that is outdated, inaccurate, or contains typographical mistakes
- content that some visitors could find offensive or objectionable
- links to third-party sites and services over which we have no control
HandPicked disclaims any responsibility for any harm resulting from:

All bookings, purchases or experiences you make with HandPicked partners or third-party businesses are agreements between you and them, not you and HandPicked. We are not a travel agency or tour operator; we are an informational guide.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our partners and users to do the same.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- HandPicked Guide and its owners, employees, contributors and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, including but not limited to:
- decisions you make based on information in the Guide
- experiences with third-party businesses or services
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.
7. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Icelandic law, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Iceland.
