A day trip to Hrísey is truly inspiring and comes highly recommended. Iceland’s second largest offshore island in the middle of Eyjafjordur is home to this charming little museum. Located in the oldest house on the island it features an exhibition about the history of the island and of shark fishing in earlier times. Don’t miss out on taking the tractor taxi when you come to the island!!
