Snartarstaðir

Experience Icelandic heritage at Snartarstaðir, just south of Kópasker. Part of the Northern Þingeyjarsýsla Heritage Museum, it showcases 19th- and 20th-century life through everyday objects. Guided by local women, the museum features handcrafted embroidery, knitwear, and traditional costumes, reflecting deep community roots and the creativity of generations past.  Closed during winter months.
